Default Tire Size - 235 all around or just for the front?

Hello - I need tires for my 2013 GS F Sport and the Michelin Primacy MXM4 seems to be a reasonably priced option.

The tire has the following specification:

MICHELIN PRIMACY MXM4 Grand Touring All-Season
  • Size: 235/40R19 96V XL
  • Sidewall Style: Blackwall
  • Low Rolling Resistance: Green X
  • UTQG: 500 AA A

Is it possible to put this tire size (235/40R19 96V X) on all 4 tires or do I need to do anything different for the front and rear tires?

Thanks for your help!!

Is your car awd or rwd....if it's rwd, you will need a larger tire in the rear, or a smaller rim in the rear

All AWD GS use 235 I believe. Only RWD FSport use 265 in the back cause we need all the grip and because Race Car.

Thanks for the replies. I have a RWD. I checked TireRack and looks like Michelin Primacy MXM4 does not come in the 265 size. Are there any other recommendations from you guys?

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport I think comes in 265.

Yes you can, 235 will mount fine on a 9" wheel & be 1" narrower. If I needed tires now I would use the MXM4. 245 is cheaper so might go 245 in rear or maybe all 4. Depends on diameter.

You should keep the OEM sizing if you want to keep the same handling characteristics of the car.

Just a tip.

The Pilots are the traditional non-silicone based tires, which have superior grip, and a softer and more compliant ride, but slightly greater rolling resistance, slightly noisier ride, and wear slightly faster.
The Primacy are silicone based tires which have lower rolling resistance, are dead quiet, and have greater mileage, but has slightly less grip, and a stiffer ride.

The Pirelli Cinturatos are also silicone based tires.

Silicone is very good for a stiffer material, less friction [lighter steering & superior fuel economy], greater quietness, and more resistant wear.
However, silicone compromises the friction [grip], and the compliancy of the ride.

All boils down to what you want...
