Okay so I've done a lot of testing and miles driven and I've come to conclusion that my car is leaking coolant through the overflow tank cap every few hundred miles. I even removed some coolant and leave the tank only half and it still does it. But it was worse when it's at the FULL line.

Is this normal for a $60K to be leaking coolant? or do I have a bad cap?

Could be the cap. That's worth checking out first. You might even have an air bubble in the engine and it keeps playing havoc with the reservoir level, especially when heating is needed. There's nothing wrong with maintaining coolant somewhat below the full line, but it shouldn't 'need' to be below the full line for it not to leak out.

I dropped it off at the dealer tonight, they'll do a pressure test on it and see. Meanwhile, I got the new ES350 loaner. 350, not some 200 crap. lol

Hey guys, has anyone else experienced something similar to this? I was checking my engine bay and noticed coolant dried inside. The cap seems fine, it seems to be coming out of the hose attached to the top. I haven’t had it serviced recently so I don’t think it’s a case of it being over filled. Should I be concerned?

Here’s the spill

Well I got rid of my GS a long time ago. But did some digging online and found this Part #16401-31791. If urs is different then maybe this is the new one?

Also, mine was a 2014 GS with 2GR-FE engine and the new 2GR-FKS uses a different setup I think. 2 different animals.

It looks like that part number is for the radiator cap and not the overflow reservoir. I assumed from your original post that you were talking about the overflow reservoir cap that is black plastic,

My overflow reservoir keeps having small amounts of coolant bubble out around the cap, dry and accumulate around the neck.

Yes they replaced the overflow cap with the little hose attached and I don't know if the part number is for the overflow or the radiator itself.
