This reminds me...I once borrowed my father in laws new (used) Sonata to pick up go buy a part at the lexus dealer. On my way there, this white SUV was driving erratically and speeding, it swerved right in front of me causing me to slam the brakes. I sped up around him, stopped the car and went to open my door, can you believe this guy hit the back of the Sonata on purpose....not once, not twice, three times!

It was an older man, about his 60's with a huge set of ***** and oblivious to what kind of harm could come to him in the real world. I walked up to the car opened the door and pulled him out as hes screaming at me in spanish (im hispanic as well). I was in a super rush and didnt want to deal with cops so I didnt do anything to him but after going off on him I just got back into the car and left. The weird thing about it was that after those hits the sonata only had one small area the size of dime slightly protruding.

If it would have been my Lexus I would probably be in jail right now.
LOL. Should've beat his a$$.

I think since its not their car, the Lexus loaner car drivers won't treat it as such. I can only imagine if they they are reckless--hitting potholes and bending rims, bubbling/damaging tires, etc...

I treat their loaner cars just like my own b/c the last thing I want to hear is that I'm being blamed for damaging a dealership car.

It seems very few people have read the paper (screen image) they sign when they drop off the vehicle for service/repairs.

You give the permission to drive. You don't expect it but an acquaintance of mine was having his benz picked up for service and the driver wrecked the car. The owners insurance had to deal with the loss.

You do give the dealer permission to drive your car however it’s their responsibility, you can take the dealership in court for negligence.

I've never given my car to be driven for service, only when the tech needs to drive it. Otherwise I don't trust the fact that a kid is driving my car since most of the valet are younger teens.

That's why I drop mine off first thing at 0645 when the kiddies are still at school.
