Oh snap, that's about how much I get too. I drive to school twice a week and the rest to the trax train and I pretty much fill up my tank in less than two week. >_> I have it in ECO mode and hardly ever drive aggressively.

Worried a little bit about the MPG that I've been getting. I average it every week and start over, but been getting around 25-26 or so mpg doing all city. I live in downtown LA so there is almost always traffic, but that seems a little low for the the hybrid especially when they're supposed to get 29/34.

Hey, sorry guys. Here is an image showing my milage and miles left after coming back from the golf course. Can't beat over 31MPG with a range of almost 500 miles.

Prinny, you should be getting like milage. What do you get with steady speed on highway or around town in light traffic?

I have to double check this week. No such thing as light traffic around downtown LA haha. I usually make a weekly round trip commute that's around a 45 min drive or so one way and after I get back to LA for a few weeks it averaged back to 32 MPG, but last week the commute only bumped it back up to right under 29 MPG. It's only the beginning of this week so hopefully it'll improve.

Every morning I wake up and say I'm going for MAX MPG today. But as soon as I hear the engine rev and my back pushed to my seat I'm like.. Yea that's not gonna happen.

I've had my GS a week and a half now. I'm averaging right around 20 mpg. It's terrible - but I kinda knew this going in based on my research, so whatever.

The GS is actually not bad on the freeway. My commute is as follows:

AM leg:
~35 miles, ~5 of it in city, no traffic as I'm out the door just after 4 am. On the freeway, mostly flat, I set cruise at ~73 mph (2k rpm). During this segment, I can eek out almost 30 mpg rather comfortably. I bet if I went at 65-70, I could do better, but I just can't do that. It's so slow, and I'm already in the slow lane getting passed by 20+ mph. Sometimes that's me doing the passing, but I'm experimenting right now since the car is new to me. Throw in the city and the mileage average tanks REALLY quick. In all, the morning leg is about 25 mpg. All this in ECO mode, of course.

PM leg:
This is where it gets ugly. The city is clogged, and I'm fighting through 20 mins of city streets/stop lights to get to the open toll road. I'm lucky to get 17-18 mpg through this. Then the freeway (toll) opens for about 15 miles and I'm back to the mid-20's, albeit not quite as efficient as the morning since much of the toll is gentle uphill (I take a different route home than coming in, but it's similar total distance). Then I hit the traffic. Stop-n-go for 45 mins. It's partly why I bought the GS, I wanted something comfortable in traffic. I had a manual-transmission Civic and it was driving me nuts in traffic and it was time to move on anyway. The mileage in traffic with the GS is horrendous though. Basically, it wipes all gains away from my morning commute, and I end up right around 19-20 mpg for the day.

It sucks, but the next day I try not to care about it and go into Sport+ and all worries are gone.
