Pay registration on lease return?
My BMW lease is up on 12/23. This week I got the registration renewal in my mailbox from DMV. Obviously, the registration expires on the day I will return the car. Question is, do I have to pay this registration or it's on BMW?
The reason I ask is because recently I sold a car with registration due to expire in 10 days or so, and the bank that was providing the loan for the buyer said I was the one that had to pay the registration because I'm in a 30 days window to expiration. I don't want the same thing to happen when I'll return my BMW.

Just return it a few days ahead. Once u sign the release form that car is no longer ur responsibility. At least that's how my lease returns / trade ins were. Once u sign the form it's the dealer or bank's responsibility.
That new registration is for next year and u won't have the car anymore next year.
