Hi,
New forum member who's been reading a while.
I'm looking for some comparison advice as I'm waffeling back and forth.
I currently have an Infiniti M35X which has been an outstanding car for me, but it's due to be replaced.
I was about to get an M37X but the GS350 F sport has caught my eye.
I would expect the M37 to be just as reliable as my old one, but it bothers me that while it's a little nicer inside, after a week or two it will feel just like my old car..just newer. But then do I change it up just for the sake of change?
The biggest kicker is that I can save about 6-7k by going for another M vs a similar year and mileage GS.
(looking at used 2013 models)
Anyone with experience with both cars to offer some advice?
Thanks kindly

Lexus is the best car in the world. Infiniti can't touch it.

Oh yes, just pay attention to all the details in and outside of the car. The build quality is top of the line and the way it drives always put a
on my face.
Look at the headlight housing and u'll see a leather like part at the bottom and soft, padded materials everywhere inside the car.

My cousin has a M37 and I tested back when I was looking for a car. The drive was smooth and the handling was great. Almost jumped the gun and picked one up. BUT I've always wanted a GS. So I had to test drive a 4GS and well... here i am

I test drove the M37 as well when I was looking. Both are great cars and both are reliable.
I found the M37 has more power and low end torque. The difference is noticeable. It also had more rear seat leg room. The interior is nice, but the exterior styling is aged now.
The GS has a very smooth ride yet still offers great handling. I think the GS interior feels much more special. Touches like ambient lighting, excellent seats and more tech features make it a nice place to be while I'm stuck in traffic. It will take a couple of weeks to get accustomed to the remote touch mouse, so don't get too frustrated with it on your test drive.
Test drive each and see which one you like. And share your thoughts here after your test drives!

M35 is a very poorly constructed car. It's quite loud, the noise the engine makes is horrendous(it sounds like a choking lawn mower), the dash melts, the road noise is too prominent for a car of its value, the buttons wear and so does the painted plastic, etc. The M37 suffers from these same issues, just as the G35 and G37 do.
Picking a GS over a M37 would be a no-brainer.

My cousins own nothing but Infiniti and Lexus vehicles. They seem to love both brands otherwise they wouldn't own two vehicles from each brand I guess. They did mention that Lexus service is far superior compared to when they take their Infinitis in for service.

Okay, so a lot of car preference comes down to the subjective. But the overall quality of the Lexus is better than Infiniti in just about every objective test. Lexus/Toyota has been accused of being too boring (a rap that I think they beat with the 4th gen GS), but nobody has ever said that they weren't absolutely reliable, especially compared with other cars in their respective class.
I think that Lexus drivers are typically looking for a balance of luxury, performance, and reliability that no other car company offers. Some (including Infiniti) may do this or that better, but nobody puts all three categories together nearly as well—not Mercedes, not BMW, not Audi, not Acura, and not Infiniti. If you're looking for a well built luxury/sport sedan, the GS is the only full package. There's a reason that they hold their value better than every other luxury car brand.
