Default Toyota 0w20 vs Mobil 1 0w20

Trying to figure out which oil is the best for our engines. Debating between Toyota 0w20 or Mobil 1 0w20 extended performance. Any feedbacks would be appreciated.

Either is great engine oil. The Toyota 0W-20 engine oil is said to be specifically 'formulated'/'designed' for Toyota vehicles.

How much did you buy that box of oil for I know there is 12 of them in it?
I spoke with a service technian when I took my new 2016 Corolla in for service he told me that the Toyota oil is made by Mobil but he recommended me to use Mobil instead as its better. But I'm not sure why he thinks that so I thought I can ask the members in here if they know what is the pros & cons.

Those are just images I found using Google Search to show the 'specifically formulated & designed' notations.

Trust me, you would never see or notice any difference whatsoever between the Toyota and Mobil One engine oils...or any other 0W-20 Synthetic engine oil for that matter.

You would be far better off spending your time making sure the alignment is correct and the tires are properly inflated.

I guess I'll see which one I can find for a better deal in that case. Although i only use the Toyota filter though.

Folks, there are really very few companies that actually produce motor oil... I worked for Valvoline for 2 years. I think I recall that there are only 3 companies that produce oil filters.

I've used both interchangeably depending on which ever was the cheaper route at the time the oil change was needed, and never noticed a difference on my RX350. I did realize that it wasn't worth the trouble anymore to buy my own oil and filter and then go to a Toyota dealer pay for labor, when the total wasn't too far off from having a Lexus dealer do it. Plus I get a carwash and vac at Lexus where as at Toyota I dont.

Correct Mobil 1 makes the oil for Toyota and they brand it.

Yeah you most likely won't see a difference. However, Toyota 0w20 is very similar to Mobil super syn based on discussions on forums. Since Mobil 1 is clearly their best product and is sometimes cheaper at Walmart, there is no reason to pick Toyota 0w20 unless it's free.
