Noise from rear of the car when it is off
Hey guys, new owner of 13 F Sport. I heard this noise about a week ago and when I went into the garage it was doing it again. The car has been off for about 5 hours, so not sure why it would be making a noise like something is running? The noise is coming from the rear of the car only. Any advice would be appreciated.

The humming noise you hear coming from under the vehicle hours after turning Off the engine is the fuel evaporation leak check. Any time up to approximately 5 hours after the engine is turned Off, you may hear a humming sound coming from under the vehicle that could last up to several minutes. This is the sound of a fuel evaporation leakage check and, it does not indicate a malfunction.

Thanks, I will. I have been lurking for a few weeks since I bought it and thanks to everything you guys have posted I have adjusted my headlights, added the ghost courtesy lights, LED trunk light and few other small things. This site has been great!
