Default Curious what type of discount a '16 350 is getting

I just bought a '15 and got a great deal, no regrets, but am curious if dealers are discounting the new 350 or if it will be the turbo that gets the push? Thanks. I hate buying the 1st year of something new.

What your seeing is likely vehicles in allocation that are on their way. None yet here in South Florida.

And as far as discounts, don't expect much. There will only be a handful in stock and demand will be high. Price will be very close to MSRP with high money factors from the manufacturer.

My local dealership said mid January.

As for discounts, SW15LS said, they need to move all or most of the 15s first. But I'm pretty sure your salesman will tell you because it's a new style and blah blah blah, that Lexus isn't giving them any room for discounts. They told me the same when I was negotiating for a 16 RX. Guess what? After some haggling, they decided that they couldn't give me what I asked for. Ok no problems for me. I can wait. As I got up to leave, the salesman said wait let me talk to my manager. He went to his manager 5 times that night, and I got the deal I wanted. Point of the story is, there's always room for discounts.

Of course, dealers will always discount vehicles to facilitate a sale. But when there are a few in stock and there is tremendous demand, they will be more reluctant to discount because the next guy is willing to pay more...

GS doesn't fly off the shelf like the RX. There will be plenty available.

I'm very curious to see the response to the RX from the long time RX owners. A very drastic change

My thoughts are that in other areas (i am in the northeast), the turbo will be more plentiful. In my area they tend yo only bring in AWD, so thst means the new 6 cyl. This is just a curiosity for me.

History repeats itself over and over, little discount for a couple of months, then back to the 8-10% off MSRP. You get a good deal when you get the car out the door for the MSRP price, that is, in states where there is sales tax of around 8%

when the 2013 came out in 2012 and I had to wait a month for it and this was in May of 2012, I got $5k off MSRP and I could not go wrong, I wont mind if I get that deal again.

When did the 2016 ES's hit dealer lots? I'm already seeing $399 lease deals advertised for them on TV here in SW Florida so that tells me they're already being discounted. I don't think the GS will suddenly become a volume model for Lexus so I expect to see similar deals, perhaps towards the end of Q1 next year. Ofcourse, that's wishful thinking on my part because my '13 lease is up in May of next year and I hope to get a '16...
