Lexus Extended Warranty
My GS F-Sport is 2 years old and my dealer is trying to sell me a Lexus warranty which would cover years 4 and 5.
Here in the UK everything Lexus is more expensive than in the US but fortunately their cars are just as good, the brand is respected and they hold a good residual. The Lexus deal is two years cover for the price of one, which is £,1,000, equal to US $ 1,500.
All major components are covered and also including dampers, wheel bearings and brake rotors (which in my experience are a wearing part). Dealer servicing is mandatory.
I am in no doubt that I will keep this car for a long time (I have had my GS300 for 17 years and it goes like new).
Interestingly, the cover includes Lexus Roadside Assistance which covers my wife and I for repair and recovery of any vehicle which either of us are driving or happen to be a passenger in. The stand-alone cost of this would be around $ 170 annually.
It seem like a reasonable deal ($1500 for one year is not!). Any opinions welcome.
