I don't think Toyota spent millions of dollars on R &D for nothing. plus today's oils are way better than it was 20yrs ago. I owned a 2007 BMW 335i, and changed oil every 15K miles per BMW using BMW specified oil, and no oil sludge or damage. Trust the Toyota engineers, change oil every 10K miles with Toyota specified synthetic oil and you shhould be fine.
Dealership isn't doing anything, I know the service interval is recommended at 10k for my F-Sport, I just choose 5k. On my Viper, I'm using synthetic and doing it ever 3,000 miles because I beat that car within an inch of its life every day. The $300 is easier to swallow than the $20k motor.

Close to 14,000 miles. About 10,000 of that since May.

Got to be the most miles on a Viper!

I've driven many Vipers, although not the current generation. Good on you for actually getting your money's worth.

I put 48,000 on my 2008 and I bought it brand new also, but there are several people driving the new ones a lot. I plan to end my 7/100k warranty on miles, so I got a lot more driving to do

Keeping this on topic, yesterday I went and got some oil for a few oil changes next year.

Really great car, much better for daily driving. I had a Gallardo and put about 6,000 miles in 6 months, but didn't think it was a good idea (value wise) to do it. I've had the opportunity to drive two new Huracans this month, and they drive great! Very compliant ride, the dual clutch is amazing, and the interior is very much up to par for a car at that price point. Wish they still offered a gated manual though, it was one of my favorite things with my Gallardo. I could see myself daily driving a Huracan if I could find $300,000 between my sofa cushions.

No doubt, I would love to dd a huracan, it's a great ride and wicked fast....he did clear bra the entire car and has the 5 year unlimited miles warranty, he told the dealer he would easily put 100k miles on the car!! They of course don't believe him but probably do by now
