Default Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Life Expectancy?

Wanted to know how long do these tires last on the GS FSport(24-30K miles?). My MBZ E350 Sport came equipped with Continental tires (18 inch) and currently the car has 27K highway miles with about 60% tire tread. Inspecting the low profile tires today, (on the GS350) looks like soft rubber and not very optimistic they will last long.

Thanks!

I have 26k on my non Fsport gs350, those same tires, and they have about 4-5/32 tread left, so possibly 30k miles.

I'd say realistically 20-25k miles max out of these 19" Bridgestones, which equates to roughly 2 years?

Judging from my car, I will need new back tires before front...I have 11k easy miles on them and would think 20-25k max on rear and 30k or so easy on the front...

Replaced mine at just under 32K, but we drive over the Okanagan Mountain a lot between now and spring and I just didn't feel like chancing it on aging sport/summer-ish tires.

When I was looking to get into a Lexus GS350 Fsport I almost took over a lease and the original owner reported that he expected to buy new tires at 32K or before the 33K lease.
Another question, and excuse me for reading over the lease agreement in terms of tires. But when I replace the tires do they have to be exact replacements or can they be similar but less expensive brands?

As long as they meet the same/equivalent specs, then you can install any brand of tires. My Bridgestones lasted less than 30K miles and I replaced them with Michelin PSS, which were much more superior summer tires that were somehow cheaper.

Just checked mine, at 17K it's already close to the wear bar. Do I need to replace it right away or can I drive at the wear bar? This is going to be expensive.

Any ideas if I wanna plus size it? I always feel the stock tires are too thin and not that many selections in the market.

Take a look at this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...sport-rwd.html

A few people have upsized so that they can use all seasons, since it seems that the OEM size is only available in summers.
