Traded my IS for a GS today
Made a tough decision today to trade in my beloved 2014 IS350. Took it in for routine service and wound up with an offer on a '15 GS that I could not refuse.
I was originally interested in the '16s, but could not score a comparable deal on one, as expected. Price was $60,260 and got about $10k off.
The car is an AWD F Sport, Atomic Silver with black interior, ML, etc.
I'll miss my IS. That car was a hoot, but the GS feels much more solid, is quieter, and has gobs more room - my kids' car seats fit much better!

I like the other car parked in the garage beside the GS 350!

Thanks! I have been wanting Atomic Silver for quite some time!
Like I said, kids! LOL
Thanks!
Ha! I took that IS picture last night. My wife and kids (and therefore the RX as well) are out of town. That means I have the entire garage to myself for a few nights. Last night I put the IS in like that so I could have room to do an ONR wash. Little did I know it would be my last time washing it!
Tonight I pulled the GS in the same way to give it a wash.

I myself went from an '11 IS350 to a '13 GS350 - you won't regret it! Congrats!

The wife and kids are in for quite a shock / treat upon their return. Might be the last time they leave you home alone.
Congrats! Silver on black is timeless.
Love to hear you got the ML audio.
How about HUD?

I'm loving the ML. It blows the ML in my RX away.
I was not able to get one with HUD. I also would have liked PCS/DRCC like on my RX but that's okay. It still has way more features than my IS did.

Congrats! Very nice choice with the color combo. Looks like I may have to visit my dealership next week with a deal like yours I can't refuse. Did you have time remaining on your IS350 lease?

Congrats JDR! Way back when I joined CL and was considering the IS350, I read a lot of your posts in the IS subforum.
Great to have another respected member amongst the sophisticated GS crowd. I honestly believe it suits you and your family much better.
Hope you enjoy it. Great color choice. I see that your new GS is the F-Sport version, was your IS a non F-Sport? After you get some mileage on the GS, I'm curious to know how it feels in comparison to the IS.. the one thing that I loved about the IS was how "nimble" and "light" it felt.. like you could just toss it around so easily. The GS is must more planted on the ground, probably due to the added weight.

P.S. - lol @ bclexus. JDR, when it's time for a vehicle "upgrade" for your kids.. I highly suggest this to match your other vehicle
