Default Seat belts

Just got my CPO 2013 GS350 F Sport this month and I noticed that seat belts tightened during my test drive. Now it does not do so. Does this mean my seat belts are malfunctioning?

Or is it because I already put a preset memory seat configuration on slots 1 and 2?

Thanks.

You probably activated the seat belt pretensioning during test drive. I wouldn't worry.

If did some sudden stop and go's during your test drive you probably activated the seat belt tensioning device. Do a sudden stop and they should work just fine.

Service advisor commented "There is no motor to tighten/retract the seat belt when the car is not braking of suddenly stops."

I could not replicate the situation myself so I am going to let this one go. As long as the seat belt is functioning then I guess it's all good.

Thanks for your replies.

Yea the thing only locks when u do sudden stops, like flooring the brakes. Or when u pull them out all the way and it starts clicking when going back in.
