Default 20% off MSRP - 2015 GS 350 leased for $395/ month

Thanks to everyone who contributed to multiple threads regarding lease prices.

Just picked up a new 2015 GS350 RWD using the Holiday sales event at my dealer!

It was the last few remaining 2015 on the lot so color choice was none - had to get what they had for a 21% savings.

Pictures taken just after dealer washed and fueled her up - see attached.

Details on the deal:
  • $52,450 MSRP
  • $41,175 Net cap cost
  • -$4500 Holiday bonus cash
  • -$400 First month payment (Lexus Financial)
  • -$6400 Dealer contribution ($4K under invoice)
  • -$2,000 trade in (old 2003 Mitsubishi - matched KBB & Carmax offers)
  • Money Factor = 0.00070
  • Residual = 57% (12k/36mo)
  • Monthly with sales tax: $395

Overall, a very good experience from this dealer:
Longo Lexus - Jeff Winiecke (Internet sales manager)

BTW:
Today is the last day for this awesome deal - holiday event ends 1/4/2015 !

Congrats on your new 2015 GS350. I can already guess that this is the lease color choice that people want. This would be my last color choice for me but for the deal you got is good.

the $2000 trade in go as (down payment)?
I wonder if you could've used that as a security deposit instead of a down payment?

Im not a hater just giving an opinion here based solely on the numbers. Being the last day of the DTR deal I think you could have done better. The MF is almost double what others have paid (Hows your credit score?). If you would have used the 2k to buy down the MF using MSD then this would have been a much better deal and you would get your 2k back at lease maturity. This car should have leased out at sub $325 per month if you put 2k down and had a better MF or $370 with zero down/pocket and better MF. At the end of the day what's important is that you're happy with the deal and you learned how to negotiate car leases better than previously from using this forum. You get to drive a gs350 for $395 per month when most people are paying more for their Nissan Maxima ( not a knock, maxima is a great car). Enjoy your new toy.

Congrats! You did relatively well. If you pushed really hard you could have probably got the same deal without a trade but it is not a huge deal. I am curious if you trade it in tomorrow, can you get some positive equity? I got a similar deal as yours (except no trade) but my GS350 doesn't have a blind spot monitor so I am considering getting another one and swapping mine or trading it in if it is possible.

I've heard lots of good things about Longo, I should've gone there. Congrats!

Yes, I thought the deal was great.

At first they wanted to roll in the taxes, fees, license, registration, doc fees into the lease but when we told them that the $2000 trade in was to cover those costs, they changed the deal around.
The trade in price was honored by the Carmax certificate we had which saved a lot of time haggling.

Looked at the MF and we were given Tier 1 credit rate @ 0.00070.
I read on some other posts that 0.00053 was the standard - can't say - I looked at the dealer's sheet to confirm the rate.

Compared to my Land Rover, the money factor I got was 0.00181 (about 3 times higher)..... Lexus is rather good on MF...

Could have paid MSD but when it is already 1.8% MF, figured it would not save much - unlike if you got some other car that had high MF when MSD makes sense...

The color is not number one, but the deal was amazing IMO.

My RX is Nebula Gray Pearl like your GS and I love it. It's a great color and is remarkably easy to keep clean. Enjoy it, as I think it's beautiful.

Once the car is registered / titled, the price of the car drops like a rock!
If you trade in your car now, you may be upside down.
Better to hang onto it and use your head and neck to turn before maneuvering lanes...

yes, found out this color is amazing in hiding dirt.

got rained on overnight and can't find the normal dirt spots...

at least this color will save me on paying for car washes too frequently...

I wonder if it drops 12K though because that's the difference between my MSRP and adjusted cap. I have no problem turning my head and neck but sometimes it is hard when it is raining after dark especially if you have tint.

Congrats! Sounds like a good deal!! I have the nebula color also. While it wasn't my first choice (I tend to prefer black cars), the color is growing on me!! Enjoy!
