Default Oil Change Questions

I've been reading over the thread about DIY oil change and had a couple of questions.
I must have 3 or 4 different style oil filter wrenches but none that approximates the one shown in the DIY thread. I'm guessing I need to buy that one. A quick web search shows a wide variety of prices. Any comments on which one to get?
Any other pitfalls or things not mentioned in the thread?
Thanks

Thanks. Your link is to the small wrench. Doesn't the GS need the large one?

I bought the tool on Amazon, it was cheap. I also bought a toyota and K&N filter element...and Royal Purple. My Notification panel didnt tell me to chg oil for 18K miles, when I changed it, it didnt smell and was still "good".

Running Mobile 1 full syn this time (always used to, and RP was out at the store).

Also have a fumoto oil valve installed, making drainig old oil as EZ and 123...no more messes!!!

The Fumoto valve looks terrific. Any chance it would void my warranty (assuming it didn't leak)? Which Fumoto model did you use?
I'm wanting to buy everything on Amazon if possible. Do you recall which wrench you bought?
Thanks.

I installed a Fumoto valve on my previous GS (2GS430) and didn't void the warranty. It's just an oil drain and doesn't alter anything. I hated the darned thing, however. The oil drained painfully slow and what used to be a 5 to 10 minutes job turned to a 20-30 minutes job. It didn't save me any time or aggravation.

Just buy an SST oil filter housing removal tool from Lexus themselves.
Doesn't cost that much.
Below is a photo of the SST oil filter housing removal tool, and the oil filter housing.

I can't remember if I kept the bill.
I'd just ring Lexus parts, and ask them for the oil filter canister/housing removal tool.
It's called an SST oil filter housing removal tool.
I don't know what SST stands for unfortunately.

Plenty on eBay:
