xm radio
hey guys.
my xm is about to at the end of the month.
i'm thinking about renewing it.. what prices are you guys paying? the best i got was $55 for 6 months all access.
I really like the traffic + accident reports.. is it worth to keep it going? or should i just cancel it out?

Just call 1-866-635-2349. Say the word 'CANCEL' and the automated system will send you to 'Listener Care' where you can talk with a person. Tell the rep that you want the 'Select' plan for $24.99 for 6 months. Do NOT settle for $24.99 for only 5 months if the rep tells you that 5 months is what they are offering. (Just yesterday I renewed two cars for this deal, and my neighbor renewed his car last week for this $24.99/6 month deal. It's a deal that has been offered for well over a year, so it's nothing really special...except you need to ask for it and you might have to explain that you are aware of this commonly offered deal.) After music fees and tax it will be around $31.
Read some of the comments HERE on what plans and prices people are subscribing to.
As for the traffic or weather, I personally don't think it's worth the added cost. The traffic is somewhat delayed, even in major metro areas.

BC covered everything except for one thing. DO NOT give them credit card info to pay with, unless you like auto renew taking you to the cleaners in 6 months.
I had this set up and one time they hit me after the initial subscription period for over 85 dollars. I knew there were many deals alot cheaper available from them. Once bitten, twice shy. I'd even advise using a prepaid debit card to pay the bill so they can't do this to you.
Sleazy businesses like this count on people forgetting about lapsing subscription periods and use that as a way to fleece subscribers.

I might lose the satellite signal once or twice a month for just a couple of seconds when I'm out-'n-about. Whenever that happens I tend to look up (and around) to see what may be blocking the satellite signal and I never see anything that would really block the signal. When I'm in my garage I lose the signal about half the time, and if I'm in a commercial parking garage it oftentimes loses the signal, but that's understandable.

Yes, mine cuts out all of the time, mainly whenever I pass under a bridge no matter how big or small the bridge is I always loose signal for at least a second. It seems like the car doesn't hold a big enough buffer to keep from loosing signal when passing under a bridge.
