Default HID bulb replacement for 2015 GS-F

Has anyone replaced/upgraded their stock HID bulb to the 6000K? If so, what bulb type and is it hard to do it yourself?

Thanks

Lexus has D4S bulbs.

It's not hard to do it yourself. As I remember correctly, one of the sides has very little space, so if you have big hands, you may have hard time getting the bulb in / out.

Philips makes good quality bulbs. As well as Garax, which I had on 2 of my cars with 0 problems.
Lots of people sell fake Philips and Garax bulbs out there, make sure you know the differences before you buy.

I saw garax on ebay for $100...should I take the plunge and try it? Any pointers as to DIY instructions?

Go with Philips Ultinon D4S 6000k.
I bought one from NigelJDM $265 one bulb burnt in a year [no warranty replacement nothing waste of $265].
Bought another pair from a different seller on eBay for around $240 been running strong for 2 years now.

Garax is good as well but the light output is no where close to the philips ultinon.
You need to locate the headlight bulb housing and twist it open there are 2 clips holding the bulb you need to release it and bulb comes right out I just had difficult putting the bulb back in correctly and then you need to put the housing back and turn clockwise to close the housing. Can help you out if your local. I changed mine on my 15 GS.

Wear latex gloves and hope your hands are not big or else will be very difficult and you will have few cuts on your hands.

Yeah if you have big hands, the driver side headlight is going to be a lot tougher to change. It's doable, but you're gonna end up with a few scratches. I ended up taking off the entire headlight unit to change.

The Philips have a cheaper bulb out I believe, I think it's $150 can't remember. The bulb is definitely hard to get in on the driver side if you have big hands.

there's a panel in the wheel well behind the driver's side headlight that you remove for much easier access to the bulb. all i needed was a flathead screw driver to remove it.

I always thought my 2015 F sport headlight bulb are LED, cause every time when i turns them on, they don't seem needs to warm up like my other HID bulbs.
