Default Here She Is!

Hello Everyone,
So I did end up getting the Red GS350 from Michigan at the end of last year. Red on Black, Luxury Package, ML Audio, Rear Heated seats, the whole shebang. Paid $31k and I believe I got great deal, even if it could have been a little better. Drives like a dream, literally can't distinguish it from a new one. When I hear that engine note, oh man... I can't help but floor it! Finally got her looking nice and clean, which is why I haven't posted photos in all this time, so I apologize for the delay. Thanks again to bclexus and everyone else who provided me with advice and other tips.

Love the color. Seems like you got one that is nicely loaded as well. It should provide plenty for you to enjoy.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing some photos.

Thanks guys, means a lot. I was the littlest bit concerned about the color when I saw the sale posting but as soon as I saw it in person I fell in love right away, the photos simply don't do it justice. I certainly don't regret my choice at all. Planning on tinting the windows and possibly adding the lip spoiler. Any ideas and/or things to look out for?

About 32,300 miles when I got her, nearing 33k miles now. Indeed, I feel like the tint will make it seem like a completely different car.

Side note - anyone have suggestions for best radar detector? Experience with them etc. - which one would be most accurate, least false negatives, etc. and best value?

Compliments and congrats on the new ride! I think you did a great job finding a low mileage GS with the lux package for that price...Enjoy it to the fullest!

nice! I only have 14,000 miles on mine haha

I have a Beltronic StiR Plus installed radar and laser intercepter for laser defense.
Its a custom installed unit but its ranked as one of the best. Pricey but if you plan to keep it for a while its worth it IMO. Also depending the install if you change cars you can have it removed. Also look at al proriety for laser defense.

I have the Escort 9500ix and love it. While it's not the most expensive unit out there, it provides a great value and gives me everything that I was interested in.

I installed it using a MirrorTap (uses power from your rear view mirror) following the instructions/pictures posted by mso4 here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ml#post7726444

You may have to do research & read reviews on what features you're after in a radar. Without a budget, it's a bit hard to recommend something.. there is a big range in radar prices.

Laser detectors are legal in my state - you may want to check into that for your state as well. All the best.
