Sad that Lexus cheaps out on material such as led taillight and other features that the German cars comes with for the same premium. it's disappointing that they just do the minimumand not go beyond to exceed the owners expectations. it's like they just barely make it.after this gs am going to Chevy/GMC or ford or maybe e550 .I really need a truck having a luxury Toyota gets old quick

just to put into perspective for you, as a former owner of a german car (Mercedes E350) my complaint was the opposite, why for a $56k car does not have parking sensors, HID lights, window curtains, auto up/down windows with key fob etc.... i'll give up some LEDs for all the other features you do get included.

No kidding. Try to build a German car with similar features and see what comes out. Not to mention reliability is not standard. GS is cheap compared to other guys in the group. Of course one can always find a non std feature that can be found on Nissan Altima.

All Lexus cars come with LED tail/brake lights and LED DRL. Some of the base Germans however, come with regular bulbs taillights and no LED DRL. I built a 535i to match my GS features and ended up costing 10K more.

Led tails is just one of my complaints. the power closing trunk would be nice and powerfolding mirrors would've been perfect when you lock and unlock the car.

Japanese cars are equipped much better than their German competitors. Features like keyless entry and start, leather seats, power tilt steering wheel, HID/LED headlights, backup camera, etc. I have a friend that paid over $70K for his Macan S and it doesn't even have parking sensors or a backup camera. Its interesting that you think the American cars would be better in giving "standard" features.

Do u mean the turn signal and reverse lights? Cause the parking lights and brake lights are LED.

I do agree with you a bit because Lexus is a bit cheap on the fit and finish inside the car. However, where Lexus makes up are the electronics, sport tuned suspension and price. I also own a 2014 MBZ E350 Sport and I like the rear/front LED tail lights, chrome trim on front and rear bumpers and real metal trim on the inside.
All trim is real metal except steering wheel.
Internet pic. But 95% of trim in the car is plastic. But you can't beat bang for buck. Plus real leather seats and most comfortable in the class.
real chrome below bumper
same in rear

Yeah I'm not sure where you're coming from seeing that the car has all the features you're saying it doesn't.
The GS is the best equipped car for the money in the segment.
