Weird wiper problem

Weird wiper problem
Just bought a 2013 GS350 and saw some weird things with the wipers, want to make sure this was a "feature" before I take it to the dealer. My apologies if this is a common problem that's been hashed out a millions times here.
For one thing, it doesn't seem to want to finish a full cycle. When I hit the stick up for a single wipe, the wipers will only move for as long as i hold the stick up. If i let go, the wipers will stop at the top of the cycle or anywhere in between. It won't return to the home position.
Similarly, if I put the wipers on continuous, if I turn it off the wipers will just stop wherever they are on the window, instead of returning to the home position.
Also, if I hit the sprayer, the wipers won't start wiping, i'll have to manually turn them on (and then run into the issues mentioned above).
Is this a normal thing? Is there some fancy setting that I don't know about? Any easy way to reset the wipers?

Thanks the replies, the car should still be under the factory warranty so I'll take it back to the dealer. Unfortunately I just had it go through the 20k service so i'll have to take it back there again.
