Default New tires give such a better ride 😆

Went with 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 Michelin A/S 3's. Ordered the new Continental DWS06 but in typical Continental fashion they have none in stock (same thing happened in the past on a set of DWS tires I ran on my Audi). In any case, the rear end holds traction much better now which is both a plus and a minus as it was fun to throw it around corners and also the ride is sooo much quieter. Off for an alignment and some other warranty items this week.

On a side note, I am considering the Tanabe NF210 Springs to get a tad lower but worry about negative side affects (ride, rubbing, scraping etc) Any thoughts or feedback?

So, no issues or problems? Did the change in size from OEM spec affect the price?

Nice. This is the route I will likely go when it comes time.

What tires were on before and how many miles did you get out of them?

Nothing I love more than a new set of shoes on the car. Everything improves.

I got a quote from Discount Tire for the same sizes: $950.14 (out the door) for Continental Extreme Contacts DW
Hmmmm....enticing.

I had some Tanabe NF210 installed and I have experienced zero rubbing or scraping, and this is with wider wheels.
You should be good to go.

The OEM tires are so terrible, even the Michelin Primacy MXM4 aren't great. New quality tires make a huge difference.

I think the oem Bridgestone potenzas are fantastic....they just don't last long enough to justify the cost....

No, as the OEM size of 235/40 and 265/35 has limited tire options, so this opens the door for a lot more brands and deals. That and the difference is minimal. You do get a tad more sidewall meat to help you not scuff the wheels up as easily too. Speedometer difference at 60 mph is only 0.7 mph difference too so it isnt noticeable.

I had the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE050A which at 23,500 miles to me were done. I could turn off traction control and do donuts and easily chirp second.

I paid a tad over 1k with taxes at Discount tire out the door. That price was for the DWS06 Conti's though BUT since they gave me these at the same price since Conti didnt deliver I couldnt argue. That original price was with them price matching Tire Racks delivered price also.

Any perceived difference in handling and road feel due to the larger width (and slightly taller sidewall) tires?
