Default Painted my dashboard

I had some scuffs on my dash and it was driving me nuts! Problem with black dash is when it's scuffed it turns white. Anyway, can u guys tell if this has been repainted? I used a special dye for dashboards and not a paint by the way.

I used Mother's Back to Black on all the black trims so they have that deep black look. No armorall, I stay away from those.

It looks beautiful in the images. Did you 'go easy' on the white threading so it didn't get dyed?

I've noticed that if you apply too much pressure with [say] a micro-fiber towel the dash (in front of the NAV screen) will scuff, leaving a whitish scuff mark. But, just an itty-bitty amount of lip gloss rubbed on the scuff will make it disappear.

My scuffs were pretty bad and I tried to buff it which made it even worse. The new black is a little darker than the original actually but it's really close. I took that pic from many different angle and lighting and if u can't see the difference than it's good. I think parking out in the sun for a while will fade it a little.

I just dyed the rubbery part, not the stitched nuluxe part. I masked off the nuluxe part and applied the dye with a microfiber cloth to the whole thing. The rubbery part is actually like a leather wrap sticked on a plastic piece (the dash skeleton). It's not leather of course but that part isn't a molded rubber piece like I thought it was.

How durable is it? Will it rub off when accidentally sprayed by glass cleaner?

No, it is very durable, I've sprayed glass and dash cleaners and goo gone and it doesn't rub off at all, unless u scratch it with a hard object.

Man bclexus does this drive me insane. Cant wipe the dash with your hand because smudges, cant wipe with a dry towel because white scuff marks, gotta be super super super super careful and it really pisses me off. Its like no matter what its always going to get scuffed.

On a different note Looks awesome FillyO

Do you happen to have a link to this dye, or is it a secret thing?

Looks amazing! I've been wanting to convert my tundra over to a black interior, and this just might be the stuff.
