Default 2 way TPMS for aftermarket wheels?

So i was having some tires installed at the dealership (best price on tires) and they tell me that the normal 2 way lexus tpms sensors will not work with my aftermarket wheels (Rays Black Fleet Forged wheels)
i REALLY like knowing the tire pressure...what options are there for getting the TPMS to work?

Thanks!
m

I have Volk GTS wherls on my Z. Had to band the sensors on the barrels. You may be able to buy a different sent of sensors that are compatible with the wheels but not sure

I saw this when researching the topic...what do you mean by "band"?

You use a metal band to strap the TPMS sensor to the wheel since the wheel will not accept the sensor in the valve stem hole.

I had my stock sensors moved to my vossen's and the tpms light is off and will not read tire pressure... Is this the same problem? Do I have to get a certain type of sensor?

yeah looks like banding is the way to go - here's hoping it works well!
