For any of those who are curious or need guidance on how to change the oil in our cars, I posted a step by step video on youtube. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Thank you for taking time out to make this video. I pop the hood for the first time the other day (800 miles on odo), man these engines are loud! Lol I thought it was abnormal. Almost bringing to the dealer this week. After I saw your video I'm reconsidering that's it's normal. Again, great video.

Nice video, thanks.

One tip: for the plastic spigot tool( the one used to drain the oil filter housing), what I do is put the end of it in a plastic water bottle(small disposable ones work best), then just aim and jab the whole thing into the housing. It makes for much less oil splatter.

Great video, thanks for posting.
Saw this on Amazon and ordered one after seeing how the oil flows out from the filter housing.

Welcome to the world of direct injection engines (noisy). Yes, it is normal. Enjoy the car! This is our first Lexus product and we got sick of the german cars falling apart after the warranty expired. We do keep our DD's (daily drivers) a long time so hopefully we can get 150-200k trouble free miles from her.

Thanks for the kind words on the video everyone. If it helps at least one person I'm happy!

Great vid but why dont you just measure out exactly 6.8 quarts and put it all at once.
I usually order 2 of the 5 quart jugs and i also have an empty 1 quart oil cointaner that shows mL / oz on the side.
So i put 1 of the 5qt and the 2nd one i only put 1 quart the jug has lines on it so,you can tell how many quarts your putting. My car is RWD with filter change i think the manual shows 6.6 quarts. So the 0.6 quart i convert it to ounces and then from the jug i pure it into the 1 quart container that way i have exact calculations.

Because I like to use the dip stock to tell me where my level is at. After all that is what it is used for. If you prefer this method by all means use it. As long as the dip stick shows full you're good.

I hope you are kidding. You can't actually drain the full 6.6 quarts specified in the manual(not even close). If you pour in exactly 6.6quarts each change, you are overfilling(and each time more so).

Not kidding actually... Not saying your right or wrong but in that case why does the manual say fill 6.6 quarts ?
