Well,

As someone who buys a few GSs a week..

That car probably wholesales (I'm in the northeast in AWD territory) out west for roughly $31,500-32K or so on dealer direct I would think. Figure $1400 for CPO, $1000 or so in the shop (It shouldn't need much at 15K... but $500 either way wouldn't surprise me) and mid $36s is a reasonable price for a car like that.

You didn't steal it, your salesman didn't earn a commission that would buy him a Breitling either.

You did not pay $500 over wholesale unless it was an AWD White over Red F-Sport... and even then....

Also, it doesn't matter what they dealer paid, what matters is what a fair price is. If they lost money, that's their stupid fault for overappraising/overbuying/etc the car. Period.

Right now I have 2 LXs on the lot. Same color combo, similar miles, same year. One has Levinson, Luxury and DVDs. The other does not. The base one I took on trade and paid the right money for. The loaded one came in off lease at $4,000 under wholesale market.

What are they worth?

I'll give you $3.80 for both.

It totally matters what they got it for.

If they sell up or down from cost, sure.

But with pre-owned cars what matters is how much the car will bring in its' market; I know that, for example, I can get around $32K for a 13 RX without Navi that's CPO with around 28-32K miles.

If I pay $27K and spend $2200 in the shop plus $1400 to cert it or if I snag one on a lease extension with new tires and good brakes for $25,500 I can sell both for similar money.

If you sell the one you got cheaply for well under market you're losing money.

If you think the one you own for nearly market retail is worth more you are simply going to end up with aged inventory.

TSLA is at $255 or so today. If I bought it at $145 or $285, it's worth the same.

Would anyone mind sharing what they think is a fair price for this 2013 GS350? I like that it has the luxury package. I prefer that to F-Sport but sadly there are not many of them near me.

2013 GS350 Luxury package, 35,437 Miles, CPO warranty, $34,211. Doesn't seem like a screaming deal, but not sure how in demand lux packages GSs are.

Thanks!

So we're back to square one. Some people get a hell of a deal, and some get screwed. But that's life. I'm about getting down to the bone on a deal.

They're not easy to find and they usually sell rather quickly. I sold that car's identical twin last month for $33,950 with 32K miles. I had it in stock 11 days.

Price seems OK, I would think 33,500-33,700 is closer to fair. Lexus backed up on their lease support on GSs this month but they do have 0.9% for 60 on CPO GSs.

You can get a CPO'd 13 GS F-Sport for around $35K with those miles, maybe a tad less.

What I own a car for has very little bearing on what I'll sell it for.
