Default Speedometer ambient lighting??

Hello folks,
Just bought my 4G 350 2 weeks ago and loving it so far, however. The ambient lighting above the speedometer and tachometer randomly dims in and out while driving. Is this normal? Is their a way to just keep it on? I've read the lighting can be personalized according to driver preference is this true? And how would I go about doing that?
Thanx guyz

Yes, it is normal the ambient lighting above the speedometer and tachometer randomly dims in and out while driving. Does the ambient dim when you step on the gas and light up when you release the gas?

Yes, it is true that the lighting can be personalized according to driver preference.

You would go about doing that by making the adjustments in the settings menu from your dashboard.

Do you have 4G with Verizon or AT&T?

The dimming of the blue light above the speedometer is synced with how eco friendly you are driving. The harder you step on the gas, the more it dims. It's a feature to promote Eco driving. The light does not dim when you are in sport mode.

Assuming you have a 2013-2015 GS, this can be easily changed by pressing DISP on the steering wheel until you get to the screen to change settings.

Okay thanx for the quick reply, I was this close to bringing it in for repairs. By 4G I meant 4th generation GS350. I should have made that more clear. Thanx again!

Your Owners Manual explains how to change the display (DISP) settings.
