I bought my car from a independent dealer but I made sure my car had all the accessories keys mats etc...before I took delivery.

Rental cars from Avis and other brands tend to also missing trim pieces and cup holder dividers too. I remember when I rented a BMW it was missing the volume **** and center console tray. Didnt realize it until i drove 30 miles away from the airport. Good thing i can still change volume on the steering wheel.

My friend once bought a used LS 430 from an independent car dealership that also sells other brands. He went on a 1500 mile road trip and got a flat tire. When he tried to change tire to a spare he realized there was a wheel lock installed. He was in the middle of nowhere so it took the tow truck 4 hours to arrive. Long story short....make sure you have everything checked before you sign on the dotted line.
