Default Lexus Screen Broken?

Hi all,

Does any one know why this would happen on a 2016 GS? Bought Lexus for its reliability, which it is clearly lacking.

I called the dealership regarding mine, and there's a lot of new posts here about this same issue. Apparently the satellite is off line and that's what caused all the newer Lexus screens to go out today.I believe they're working on it, but who knows. The dealership told me tons of ppl are calling in about it

Weird...My wife is driving the car and she sent me the picture. Not quite sure why the screen would be purple though lol...but it seems like it aligns with the issue.

Thanks!

Mine has the same purple screen, but it's flashing like every 10 seconds, otherwise it's just black. I thought the same thing when it first went out, I was listening to Steven A rant about Showtime vs the Warriors, parked the car, got some coffee, started the car back up and was getting that screen. Steven A was cutting on and out on the radio, and now I don't get anything thru the speakers. Hopefully they solve this issue soon, I got an hour drive coming up soon!

To get it working, you need to reset the navi system by pulling the negative terminal on your battery (10mm wrench), wait 10 minutes, then hook it back up.

After starting the car, you see the navi reset screen come on after about 5 seconds. Keep your car running and let it reset, then you'll be able to use your radio or USB features, but may not be able to use Enform until they fix the satellite issue.

If you aren't comfortable disconnecting the battery, call your dealer.

Ah its just bugs that are being worked out. I wouldn't discredit Lexus that easily. Besides its covered under factory warranty. Drop it off, get a free donut and coffee, hop in your free loaner car and it will be fixed in no time!

Try getting a new Kia Optima, having your engine seize up the day after you buy it (normal driving) and then having to fork out your own money for a rental car.

Disconnecting the battery is only a temporary fix...did it for my sister's NX in the morning, but the problem was back in the afternoon.

Hopefully Lexus will have it resolved soon. Annoying not to have radio/media functions.
