Default I went with the left style

Here's mine with the style on the left and I found a "pearl black" vinyl that matched perfectly with the grill/rear diffuser. I'd say you can't go wrong with either but I didn't want to black out the chrome area on the grill. I'd also recommend having the vinyl shop hold up sample cut outs and stand back and pick gloss, matte or a different color which is what I chose. As far as the other people trolling just ignore the noise. Do you and love your ride...You drive it not them.

Very nice job. Which vinyl manufacturer did you go with and what is the color or sku?

Unhappy

Hey guys I just bought a 2014 silver gsF about a month ago and I was wondering if covering the mid part of bumper with black vynil like you guys did will prevent the bumper sensors from detecting near by objects (ex. Cars, walls, etc)

i was quoted 200$ from my local shop to do this ( left pic version) seems high

I vinyl wrapped the mid part of the bumper on my 2014 GS F Sport and the parking sensors still work as they should. For $200, I would just order a roll on amazon for 30 bucks or so and wrap it myself.

It takes some practice but its doable.

Nope, I just layed the whole vinyl over the sensors. It might be slightly cheaper with a tint shop but not all tint shops vinyl wrap.

I haven't had any rock chips and I commute a lot on the freeway. I've only had it on for 5 months but it should do any damage to the original paint. I mean people vinyl wrap their whole cars lol

Default Parking sensor issue with vinyl wrap

Fellas, I wrapped my GS F sport with matt black 3M vinyl but now the parking sensors wont stop beeping. Is there a way to wrap the vinyl with out causing issues with the parking sensors. My sensors only beep in first gear. If i take the film out there is no issue. Any body else seeing this?

I finally wrapped mine haha. The guy who wrapped my bumper made a circle on the sensor with a cutter. Haven't had a problem at all yet.

I wanted to chime in here for those wondering if they can do it. Cutting would probably be the hardest part getting a good line. I haven't personally used it yet, I plan on ordering some but you could use some knifeless tape for this. Just outline the area where it would need to be cut, overlay the vinyl and you can get a perfectly cut line. It can apply for stuff like cutting roof lines too. Pretty neat stuff.

If you are going to do it, I'd probably recommend the gloss or something that matches. You would just need to use a heat gun if needed to help apply the vinyl. Also research the best type that is forgiving. I had some vinyl in the past which was very hard to work with. 3m makes good stuff though.
