HID Fog Lights DIY (Base GS 350)
I didn't see a DIY for replacing the OEM bulbs with HIDs so I thought I would post up what I did yesterday. Sorry if this has already been posted.
For this install, I removed the front wheels to partially remove the wheel well to gain access to the fog light bulb.
Driver side wheel well partially open.
H11 bulbs 6000K with slim ballast
Back side of the fog light. Disconnect the connector and twist counter clockwise to remove the factory bulb
I found a great spot to mount the ballast.
New HID bulb installed
Zip tied the ballast and connectors
Repeat the same steps on the passenger side.
Found another good place to mount the ballast.
Looks like I'll be switching my headlight bulbs to 6K now.
So bright its like having high beams on. Need to retrofit projector housings to control the light.
