Default GS F Sports brakes squeaking

I have noticed the brakes to be squeaking pretty loud car has about 37k miles and the last service done at 32k shows front pads to be at 5mm and rears at 9mm. What am I looking at is it covered under warranty or I just need to swap the pads. Thx

brake is not covered warranty and u cant swap the pads. u need to have new pads put in and they have to measure ur rotor if they can cut it or u need new rotor.

Ok so the sound is coming from the front wheels but it's a continuous sound even when the brakes are not applied. What could be wrong something is touching the pads . My next service is due after 3k miles I'm thinking shall I keep driving like this or get it checked from the dealer. Front both rotors have been replaced on the car 10k miles ago under some tsb according to the Lexus driver website.

It's the OEM pads & this is a known issue with the 4G. I Replaced my front pads with Duralast Max(#DGC1686) pads 2 months ago and no more squeaking.

Are those metallic or ceramic, coming from Bmw any after brake pads reduce the braking power dramatically, how are those performing.

I just got the same Duralast pads, and I am very pleased with the brake feel. I had Akebono ceramic pads on my 535i and it DRAMATICALLY reduced brake dust, but I also lost a good bit of initial bite. I don't notice any reduction in bite with the AZ Duralasts. Slow speed, full panic from highway speed, during heavy rain, it all feels the same to me. I figured for $50 and 20 minutes of my time, they were worth a shot. I'm glad I did.

BTW, change them out NOW. If they are always squealing, it is more than likely the wear indicator is making contact.

Ok I'm in the process of getting the pads from the dealer and let my friend put it for me, since the sound is continuous do I need to need to get the wear sensor also like the Bmw.

Also someone could though some light on this tsb.

My brakes started squeaking about a month ago when cold. The sound goes away after 5-6 stops. My car only has 8200 miles. It's quite annoying and borderline embarrassing. Haven't had time to take it to the dealer but will likely have them check it this weekend.

The don't have sensors like the BMWs do. Just swap the pads out. It was the easiest pad change I have ever done! Didn't even need a wrench (once the wheel was off, of course)

So what's the difference besides the price (DGC1686 vs DGC1586)? Which one do you guys have?

My pads are now squealing for the first few stops, slow speed (parking lots, etc) when cold. Drives me nuts. Dealer "this is normal since they produce a lot of dust". Pffff. Okay.

I'm going to try these Duralast pads recommended above. I looked up on youtube how to change the pads....I cannot believe how simple it is! So easy.

I saw the 1686s were listed for my 13, but another member (vinnier6) had used the 1586s. The 1586s were listed for 14s. I thought that was really weird. I had seen other brands using the same part number for 13-15 4GSs so I went with the 1586s. They fit perfect
