You can also throw on some clear coat after you apply the decals.

Yes thats the correct part number, I got mine from curry Acura..I think they were a bit cheaper when I got them like $32 for the pair.. They are sold individually. You will need to do some modifications to them...
Trim the edges off as marked by red line and X Then sand off the Acura decal..paint and apply to you calipers using Permatex (Black I think). I forget which one I got will let you all know when I get home later.

Don't care for fancy, it's a family car.
But corroded stock caliper looked awful so a half assed cleaning, steel wire brush and hammerite paint later it's OK.

Hey guys, I bought a set of used F sport brakes and I am looking at having them powder coated. The powder coating place wants me to disassemble them. The front calipers have some very large hex key plugs. Do these have to be removed to disassemble the calipers and how to I remove them. I have never seen a hex as large as these.

Also, any recommendations on color? My GS is Dark Mica Gray with GS-F wheels.... It looks like this but it is just a base GS350: https://d2uuio0afkvff4.cloudfront.ne...ray-Mica_1.jpg

I can choose any color from here: https://www.prismaticpowders.com/sho...coating-colors

They want $300 for all 4 calipers in a custom color from that catalog or they will do a basic color like black for $200.

I was leaning towards the orange but I don't want to have a poseur GS-F

Wow $300 for all 4 is great to me. I’ve been wanting to get mines painted orange but everyone in Bay Area is asking 200-250 per caliper.

Its not hard to do at all yourself, all you need is caliper or engine paint which is pretty cheap.

There are plenty of DIY's on it, you don't even have to take the calipers off. Some kits you can brush it on, you can decant a spray to be able to brush it on too. Its crazy to spend that kind of money unless it is a super pro job on a really high end car.

@firelikeiy If you want it to stand out, I would say red or blue. If want them more low-key, i'd say coat them black or a similar color grey/graphite color as the stock wheels.

I went Burnt Copper with F Sport stickers. R&R Tires did it for $50 bucks (just spray painted them) and applied the stickers (that I bought for 7 bucks on ebay). All in, cost me about $70 bucks.

What's their definition of disassemble? When I had some calipers done a few years ago I removed the pistons / seals and then basically rebuilt them with new seals when they were done.
