Time to pull Trigger on GS 200t? $11,500 off MSRP

Ok I'll rephrase, its more than 99.9% of us can use outside of race tracks. 400hp is no different than 300hp sitting in traffic or going from stop light to stop light. Then again, I'm not one that would go and tell everyone how fast my car is. I do agree the 2L Turbo is underpowered, especially for this class of cars.

The thing is when u need that power it's not there. Or it's there but like after a few seconds of delay. This is a big problem with cars with CVT too, u can have gobs of power but once u lift off the gas and gun it again it takes a few secs before it start punching again.

My 2000 Camry LE with the 2.2L can barely get out of it's own way. Not kidding. I always have to make sure I have enough room to pass people because it will take a very long time to get up the speed to do it if you are on the highway or 2 lane road. It was rated I believe 133 hp or something like that. It's a reliable engine, but it is not made to have power. So any car I get, will definitely have a V6 or at least 200 hp minimum to get around.

I could never use that excuse in the GS.

The GS 200t would be a good city driving car where comfort and better gas mileage are benefits you are concerned about, but the moment you get on that highway on ramp you will realize through all of the engine screaming that you should have ponied up the extra buck and went for the V6.

Whenever I drive the CT I always build a solid momentum before going uphill. I saw a dude in a Prius C gunned hard from the bottom and he just passed everybody on the hill. Cause once u lose momentum mid-hill in this car, it's a disaster.
