Default squeaky brakes

I recently purchased a 2013 gs 350 f sport with roughly 37k miles. The brakes are squeaking when the car is almost at idle. I read through the threads that replacing them with ceramic brake pads will solve this issue? Can you guys confirm? Thank you?

I had that problem when my brake pads finished. That was around 25k miles with constant hard braking. The squeaking just indicates you that you have to change the brake pads. No big deal

F-sport brakes are prone to squeak. Mine started squeaking after 5K miles of replacement and I do not 'drive it like I stole it". I have read it is due to the high friction compounds in the pads. Replacing with ceramic seems to do the trick from what others have stated.

Yeah, factory pads on F Sports squeak. You can wash the front wheels frequently (just hose them off) because the brake dust is usually the culprit. The actual F models include a disclaimer saying they are going to squeak anyway due to their aggressive compounds.

Wash frequently or go ceramic.

Do u still have the original brake pads and rotors all around in this car?

I'm at 24K and not squeaking but I don't think I have a lot of meat left on the front pads but the rears are still like new though. I just shined a flashlight and didn't actually measure it but I can see it's about half way and may need new ones soon.

I wanna know how many miles others have put on the stock pads before replacing them.

Nearly at 35k but had the original pads replaced at the first 5k service for squeaking. They might have replaced the rotors under a TSB at the same time for ticking during slow turns, but it was only the fronts. So...about 30k on the current pads.

What pad are you guys using and are you resurfacing the rotors at time of replacement?

I see ceramic options from Prostop, Wager, Bosch, Akebono, and EBC.

I'm at 32k for reference.
