Default shifter question

I have a GS450H with luxury package however the shifter is a bit scratched up and need to change it out. I was looking thru the pics and some of the GSs on here have a shorter shifter with a boot, is that a F-sport option? is it easy to change them out?

It will just twist and pop out , Only difference between F Sports and regular is the perforated leather on the F sports.

Nice, thanks. i need to do this.

I also was wondering how some cars have a shifter like this, without the boot like mine:

vs. those with a leather boot:

The one in the first picture is definitely different then the one I have in F sports which is the one the second pic only with perforated leather . I think since it's a Hybrid Lexus have decided to probably design it lil different I see an extra button also beside the snow button.

That's because the GS450h has a CVT transmission where the GS350 has a 6 or 8-speed automatic. Idk why Lexus decided to have different shifters between the transmissions.

Why do you think they are one of the largest Lexus Dealerships in the country? They make a lot of profit from it customers, this is just one way they make money.

another way is selling to the chinese cash market there. as a result the majority of their salesmen are chinese/taiwanese and they happen to suck at customer service. just give me a salesmen who doesnt bulls%^t me i dont care what race you are. im tired of the employees there claiming to be number one, maybe in sales but not in customer service. i always respond with that. they couldnt even re finish my wheels correctly and marked up my car during an detail and polish. they are complete idiots and dont want to cover anything.

Hmm...good to know that's an option. M F-Sport shifter is worn down to where it is shiny and not soft like the steering wheel leather

I don't think worn down shifter will be covered under warranty.

The 2014 GS 450h has a shift boot.
shift **** with tan stitching: 33504-30420-C1
panel with button opening for EV and snow: 58807-30320
shift boot with tan stitching: 58808-30190-C0

$228.55 on mylparts.com with discount code cl5

I'm contemplating ordering this, since my shift panel is really scratched up from the previous owner and I think the shift boot looks better.
