I'm the tinkerer actually!

I had the calipers painted at a local tire shop when I bought new tires. I was going to do it myself with the G2 Caliper paint but I negotiated a nice pkg price for mounting/balancing/refinish/caliper paint. It was about $45 per caliper for paint/labor.

I really don't drive the car hard because I live in such a local, very populated and overly potholed area...

I doubt they were fully inspected. I think I wouldn't be so "agitated" if they were just up front with me - if they would admit to being a little lax or offer me a discounted next service visit...

But overall I think it led to some better things - not only getting a good price for good work for myself but also supporting my local businesses around the way
