Because it's leased. If it's leased, it's financed. I don't think you understand the terminology here. If you buy and take out a loan to pay for it, it's financed. If you lease, yep, still financed. In fact the only way you can say it's not financed is if you paid cash up front. Someone else owns the title and you're making payments, it's considered financed regardless of the terms and who holds the pink sheet.

In technical terms you are correct, but in general terms there is there the traditional finance to own (finance) and there is the finance to use (lease).
