That $777 must be the price of a Panasonic battery, Lexus rebranded Interstate batteries are about the same price as a Sears diehard.

Even if Lexus did replace the battery under warranty, they're not going to give you the OEM Panasonic battery. Interstate batteries are good, no worries.

Almost $1k for a battery is beyond laughable! Unfortunately cars of today contain so many electronics that I think we are getting close to the limits of a 12v systems. Go to your local automotive store and purchase a battery and install it yourself. It's much cheaper!
