Hi All,
The dealer I purchased my car from gave me the benefit of offering me a set of new tires for my car before I take delivery of it. They gave me the option between the Primacy or Pilot tires. Does anyone have any input between these two tires models? I was leaning towards the Primacy's but perhaps someone can help me with the pros and cons of each.

I have the Pilot A/S on my GS 350.. I purchased and mounted these about a month ago. These are highly rated tires,, my take on these is they are a quiet tire, but not the quietest on the market or in that price range. The sidewalls are a bit soft than most and you will feel this when turning. The ride/comfort is acceptable, but not as comfortable as I expected ( I do need struts, however). Traction is above average in heavy rain conditions. MPG thus far is about where it should be for the GS, nothing above average or noticeably better with these tires.
If I was to rate these from 1 to 10, I think a 7 would be my best rating.
Hope this helps..

I see you are up north, so the Pilot AS3 would be a better choice than the Pilot Super Sports. I have the AS3 and it has a very good balance of performance, comfort and tread life (did great in the snow last season too). I bought the 4GS as I'm a sport minded driver. If you are as well, I wouldn't recommend the Primacy. The ride will be a softer, but you will lose some steering sharpness.

I have Primacy and love them. They are very quiet compared to the Dunlops I had before them, and they handle very well and feel very steady when it is raining. They do squeak a bit on low speed tight turns, as someone mentioned. Doesn't bother me. I have never tried the Pilots so I have no comparison.

I have the new Michelin Premier tires that replace the discontinued Primacy tires. I really like them. They are extremely quiet, are excellent in rain and provides good handling and comfort.
