Lightning cable idea.
Just wanted to share this new purchase I made. Its a glowing lightning cable. I keep a cable connected in my arm rest. I have no issues in the daytime finding it but sometimes during the evenings i have to search for it. this should help.

Im not sure if its the generic cable im using but mine seems to charge slow. Ive noticed this not too long ago. If im at maybe 2% left on battery and I plug it in to charge and listen to a podcast, my phone dies due to lack of juice. So its either the charger cable or the low voltage of the usb that slows my charging. I will have to use the original cable sometime to charge.

It is not unusual for vehicle USB ports to lack the amperage necessary to charge certain devices. I think some vehicle USB ports are not even capable of charging devices. Some portable devices may only require 500 mA of charging power whereas other devices require 2.5 Amps (2500 mA) or more. Oftentimes if the device pulls more charging current than the USB can deliver the USB will shut down entirely and cease to deliver audio/data. For the most part the onboard USB ports are not for charging devices.

For reference, I added an additional USB charger (like the one below) through the cig plug under the armrest that has 2 ports, both outputting up to 2.4 Amps for each port.
