I usually don't use mine at night except when there's someone behind me driving with their high beams on or a lifted truck that didn't bother to adjust their lights.

Mine is always on automatic, unless i put it down to stare at the a-hole tailgating behind me.

Same here. When I park my car and the sun hitting from the back, I have my shade up, even though I have darker tint on the back.

Mine is up most of the time unless the wife is driving it.
They should make it so that when your headlights are on, the shade goes down unless you hit the button to bring it up. These boonies like to drive with hi-beam. The shade helps.

When my car is outside it's definitely staying up. I also have limo tint on the back.

I was unaware of an automatic feature except it dropping when in reverse. What year is your vehicle? Mine is a '14.

Thats what he's referring to. When he says automatic he means that it automatically goes down when in reverse and then a few seconds later it goes back up when in drive.

I keep mine on automatic (up unless in reverse) during the summer months, and down during the rest of the year and I have no tinting. I just passed my 4 yr warranty, but still intend to use it this way; if there was a problem with the system, I think it's likely it would have occurred by now. BTW, I'm in NJ, and usually park in a garage. If I were somewhere in the southwest US, I'd do the same thing, except it would be in auto for 3 months of the year.

I don't use mine as my rear is complete black out but yes in my last car I used to keep it up all the time.

Mine is always up even though i have no kids. I am even contemplating disabling the feature where it rolls down automatically when in reverse.

In my opinion the rear shade helps protect the rear interior of the car from UV rays. We leave ours up.

Exactly how I use it. My windows are tinted but even with that being in Texas sometimes my daughter needs more protection for the unrelenting sun here.

Quick Reply: Rear window shade.
