I'm preparing to pick up winter tires for the GS F-Sport AWD. I'm sticking with the 19" rims, and unfortunately there are limited options for the stock size 235/40/19. I'm a firm believer in skinnier tires for winter, so I'm considering the 225/45/19. The size is within 2% diameter so I don't expect issues there, and the higher A/R provides equivalent load rating and better protection against pot holes. Anyone happen to be running this size?

I went with 245/40-19 (Michelin Pilot AS3) on my AWD F-Sport and am happy with them. They have more tire choices in that size.
Tire Rack has some Blizzaks on sale that have great reviews

The larger diameter has corrected my speedo as a bonus!

Stock size is 225/50/17, which is what i run in the winter. They work fine. Just remember the dry handling will not be nearly as good, but you will be happy in the wet stuff

But I already have a set of 19" wheels, and just want to know if anyone has 225/45/19.

And when I go to Cali, I always admire how clean the cars are - no surprise, there's no rain to make them dirty either.
