So I noticed the other day that my moon roof and maybe the shade is causing a rattle. While sliding the shade back I get a lot of wind noise coming into the cabin. Also when I knock on the glass of the roof it sounds very cheap and​​ disappointing. I know my previous Lexus cars haven't been this bad. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm going to take it to the dealership for the wind noise but as for the glass itself that isn't going anywhere.

Update: After taking it to the dealer they replaced the weather seal on the moonroof. So far so good.

Update: 1/01/17 So the noise has came back and now when i go through a car wash the high pressure water leaks in. Back to the dealership I go :/

Yeah bunch of 2013 had issues with moon roof. I had no wind noise, but mine rattled like crazy. I think they fixed this issues on '14+ models.

My 2015 Rcf has this crazy plastic rattle after 7500 miles. I don't think it's the shade, but the connecting point where the window slides open. Try push up on the sunroof when it rattles, might help

My 2013 has a rattle and wind noise. I took it in for warranty work and they replaced the rubber seal. I have no rattle and wind noise now. The seal is a bit thicker so it may be an updated part.

My 2013 has quite a few rattles in general, but none from the sunroof.

I have noticed that the noise from the sunroom is quite a loud when I have the shade opened. It's quiet when the shade is closed, though.

Yep, mine did too. The updated rubber seal (which they replaced under warranty for me) fixed that. Now there is no wind noise whether the shade is open or closed.

Ya the sunroof assembly sucks out of the factory. I had really annoying knocking noises coming from the roof of my 13 FSport. The dealership had my car for like a month and finally fixed it.

I just had Sewell Dallas fix my 13 GS noise (when going over uneven road surfaces) that seemed to be coming from just behind the sunroof on passenger side. I went in to get my 60K service done and asked that a tech ride with me for confirmation of the noise. He also did hear it. I then asked If it cannot be fixed under warranty (used CPO) I could live with it as it did not make noise just driving down the road. I was told they would not fix it as a warranty problem. When I got their followup call asking how things went for the service I said fine except for the roof noise not being fixed. I had explained that others have had this same problem and I was sorry it could not be covered under the warranty. I got a call about a week later from a service manager that said they would look into the problem again without charge. I made my appointment soon after and it was repaired without a charge. No more noise! THANK YOU SEWELL Dallas! What the service order states is they replaced the sunroof housing and installed new cables at a cost of $2451 to Lexus. I had a 2016 IS250 loaner for two days while they repaired it and boy am glad I have a GS.

I still do have slight wind noise when I pull the shade cover open at highway speeds.
