I attended the LPDS here in Palm Beach and had a great time. We took part in the FREE experience that allows you about 4 laps of autocross in the IS and RC and 3-4 laps in the GSF and RCF models. It's a good time and even got to do it in the wet some after we had a brief shower.
The course starts with a few shameless plugs on the Lexus line followed by tech talk with instructors on what to expect, how to drive the courses and basic rules. We did ring them out pretty good. they do not hold you back much.
We then moved on to the RCF and GSF models that were on the big road course. We had 3 or 4 laps on the road course with a lead follow parameter. The GSF we drove (its a beast!) was actually much more nimble than i expected. the acceleration was very crisp out of the corners and we topped well over 110MPH on the front straight. Cornering was aggressive and apexes were late on the course creating even more excitement.
The overall FREE course is 1.5 hours in duration. We got lucky and a few folks cancelled in the following session so we did the whole course again with the following session in the cancelled drivers slots thereby doubling our fun.
Highly Recommend you take the time to do it if it comes near you!

you make the reservations on line and then receive a conformation. they would like you to upgrade to the whole day or half day program to pay for training, but for the first time the limited experience is a great value being free. lots of folks came to drive and they were not all lexus drivers.
