Default Lexus GS350 F-Sport : New Brakes/Rotor install instructions

Can anyone direct me to instructions on how to change the front brake pads and rotors on a 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport RWD? I have searched online and have just seen videos on how to change the brake pads. I am needing the brake pads and unfortunately the front rotors also. I will be ordering OEM Lexus Rotor and brake pads. When getting new rotors do they require some kind of prepping before installing? When changing the pads do the calipers have to be bled? Please if anyone has done this job before some instructions / advice would be great.

Thanks!!!!

Here's a good DIY:

Just wipe down the rotors with some brake cleaner before you put them on.

You shouldn't need to bleed the lines after you install new pads.

What kind of brake cleaner? I have done brakes on other cars in the past and I am kind of questioning this job. Would like to save a bit of money since the parts alone will cost me around $600. Is it basically the same concept as any other brake job? Can I reuse the old hardware or need to purchase new kits from Lexus also.

Any brake cleaner should do just fine. Yeah the rotors on our cars are crazy expensive!
I just replaced my OEM pads with Centric brake pads and they came with new hardware. I'm pretty sure the OEM pads will come with new hardware as well.

According to Lexus it won't. It was an additional $55 cost Any special instructions or tips I should know before getting to work on my vehicle?

I spent less than $70 for the front pads on a 2015 GS350 RWD and a can of brake cleaner when I did mine less than 2 months ago.

Got the OEM pads from this Ebay seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-OEM-FACTORY-F-SPORT-FRONT-BRAKE-PADS-2013-2015-GS350-2WD-/252535567403?fits=Make%3ALexus%7CModel%3AGS350&hash=item3acc4af42b:g:gFkAAOSwwbdWHrX8&vxp=mtr

They also have the front rotors and pads listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-OEM-FA...FWHrKm&vxp=mtr

Oh man. I would just use the OEM hardware then haha. It's only a slider pin and a retainer clip. At least that's what it was on Centric pads.

It's a really easy pad swap.

i'm finding conflicting information on whether or not we need thread lock for the two 17mm caliper bolts. for those of you who swapped out rotors, did you need to buy new caliper bolts with thread lock on them (i believe lexus sells caliper bolts like this) or did you find it necessary to use blue loctite? thanks!

At least on AWD I didn't use any threadlock, just torqued to spec, done.

Thanks Mike! Do you inspect it periodically?
