Default Few Tire Recommendations

Hi All,

I am getting new tiers for my 2013 GS 350 F- Sport.
I called Lexus and they told me the tiers they recommend and offer michelin primacy mxm4 with a road hazard warrenty for $321/each.

Has anyone had any tiers they recommend or any input on this subject?

I was actually going to recommend these tires to you had you not listed them. I personally find them to be quite good.

Do you think it is worth getting them through Lexus because on Tierrack they are only $260 compared to the $320. Obviously Tierrack doesn't have a road hazard warrenty though but idk if it is really worth it or not.

My car came with Bridgestone Potenzas and they have been great. Quiet and grippy.

I would never get tires from a dealer.

My 2 personal favorite tires for our F-Sport are either the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 (for climate with some snow/rain) or Michelin Pilot Super Sport (for summer/drier climate). I would also go with sizes 245/40r19 front and 275/35r19 rear for more selections and look. Both of these tires do offer rim protection and look much better than the stock Dunlop/Bridgestone, in my opinion.

Beware of the Michelin Super Sport low mileage life. They are soft. I believe they replaced the Pilot Sport 2.

Have you tried buying used tires from eBay?

I have tried the Bridgestone Potenza on my 2013 F-sport and they were awful. Grip wasn't too good in the wet, the tread life was horrible, and they became very noisy. I switched them out for Michelin Pilot Super Sport, which are my favorite for this car. They were grippy and tread life was good. For my 2015 F-sport, it was equipped with the Dunlop Sport Maxx which were ok. Treadlife wasn't too good but grip was decent.

Michelin does have a treadwear warranty.

Get the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Used the ContiSportContact 5 before these, only last 12k km, horrible tread life. I've used about 1k km on the new PS4 and so far very happy with it. Steering response is better than the CSC5, cornering is on par. According to Michelin, they'll last 20k km easily.

The MXM4 primacys are pretty good, that's what I roll in and I seriously put down some rubber frequently, but am completely surprised at the durability of the tread life. Before you make a decision, read these articles

Helped me make my decision as well. I hear the Michelin Pilots are pretty dope too...

What driving style do you have? That has more to do with tire choice than cost. I would never have the MXM4s for any cost, as I'm an aggressive/sport oriented driver.

I'm very aggressive. I bought used with at 9/32s and I am only at 7/32s after 8K mi of driving. When I mean aggressive, I mean pealing out at turns with lots of white smoke and hard acceleration often. Plus the roads in Houston suck big time, and these roads tend to eat up rubber quickly..

Then definitely go for Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Its tread wear and performance is excellent
