Lexus Tops Reliability
Some of you might have read these already, but I found them right before we picked up wife's GS. Its the number one reason why we picked Lexus.

Thanks for sharing those articles!
Nice garage you have there. Beautiful new ride (Nebula Gray Pearl for the win!), beautiful Porsche 997 Carrera S, and nice ATV I see there on the far right
Btw - how's the reliability been on the Porsche? Have you put a lot of miles on her? I've read that Porsche vehicles are fairly bulletproof as well.

that garage is actually a mess. I need to bring it back the way its used to.
Im a porschepile. and actually take the 997 to the track, used to be 2X year. I could say that at least these 06 and up are reliable, even with track duties. I have not had a single problem with mine. Ive done many track days and interstate long drives with it. The first batch(99-04) of water cooled had a lot of problems. From coolant oil intermix due to block cracking by #1 piston, Main shaft leaks to IMS(Intermediate Shaft) bearing failing. The air cooled before that were surely bullet proof...battle hardened from 3 decades of racing engineering innovation. The water cooled(and current) GT3 and the Turbos kept the lower engine blocks of those air cooled and are the true and tested engines.
Here's is my 911 photo album in case you're interested http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/albuq24

Glad to hear you've had no problem with your 997 thus far. Hope it continues to give you many great miles of "hold me in my seat, rear tires spinning, crazy lateral G's to make your heat skip a beat." I feel you have a perfect combination with the Lexus being your daily.
All the best,
