They resale those loaners after a year or two so they try to keep the running like good. I tried top it off before I return the loaners, but even if I forget it's not a big deal.
They don't charge me extra for gas.

Longo Lexus sucks as far as loaners - they only give out IS and CT.
I now go to Lexus of Glendale. They got a fleet of brand new 2019 ES300h and RX450h as loaners.
Little further of a drive for me but I much prefer their customer service. Longo Sucks!!
Nothing feels as good as my own GS though.
I agree with you on nothing feels good as my GS, After getting out of the loaner ES and getting back into my GS I was like Hell yeah lol

In the early years of my first Lexus, a 2001 LS430, Kuni Lexus of Portland gave me an RX330 with 296 miles. Wow, it doesn't get much newer than that! A couple months later, they gave me an ES300 with 4 miles on the odometer. I'm the first driver since PDI!

Yep try to get an IS every time. Wouldn't be too happy if I got a RX or NX. Luckily one of the workers told me that more people are requesting the SUVs as loaners, so there is always sedans for me!

They don't care what fuel you use, and the majority of the cars they use as loaners take regular fuel anyways.

I don't like it lol.. feels like the CT200h to be honest.. feels cramped and it's fairly small. The gas pedal is so damn sensitive.. like annoyingly sensitive even on normal.. I have to have the car in eco mode all the time for it to feel more natural, but at the same time when I do need to move a bit quicker.. eco mode sucks and will take forever. It's an improvement over the CT, but I would never get an IS200T after that experience.
I've only gone in once and got the nx. hated every second of it cause it was SOOO much cheaper on the inside and weaker than my gs. Not sure what options i have but im gonna have to push for something more premium next go around.

For a passenger seat recall I requested a LS, but they best they could do was an RX. Hey at least I tried.

I guess I should be thankful my dealership asks me what vehicle I want and makes it happen.

Can you imagine coming in with a lc or lfa and coming out with a ct or ux/nx as a loaner? They gotta at least give out an f car for one of those

In some cases I'd prefer a lesser car as a loaner so I'd appriciate my car even more once I got it back. If they gave me an LS I'd probably want to trade mine in for one and spend money I shouldn't.

This is silly. Who cares? Its a free car for you to drive for the 3 hours to one day your car is in for service. I drive a fully loaded LS, I'd rather have an ES or or RX, but if a CT or NX or UX is all they have...thats totally fine.

Nobody here is so good they cant drive a $40,000 NX for 6 hours

Silly? yes, first world problems but when their objective is to have you test their other products and try and get you to upgrade I'd say its reasonable to ask for something similarly nice.

They don't care if you upgrade, they just want to move a unit. There is not really more profit built into the higher models. By this logic they should show you the entire car lineup because one unit is as good as another.

Thats not their objective. The loaners are provided as a courtesy to get you around while your car is at the dealer. They aren't "sales test drives". Its just not reasonable to expect dealers to stock expensive, high depreciation models as loaners...

Dealers make more money on service than sales, the service department has no desire for you to upgrade.
