What made you ditch the Invidia midpipe and stock muffler setup? I’ve considered this as a good option (or the joe z midpipe).

I had Apex-i mid pipe with Tanabe axle back and just recently changed to Joe Z axle back. In my opinion, Joe Z is louder in all range (cold start, normal and fully open) but I don't think it's that much louder than Tanabe. Maybe it might be due to the mid-pipe and Takeda intake setup.

What did you end up choosing? Stuck with the same question as you, have read multiple posts and heard videos for sound and still can't make up my mind. It makes it harder because some people are using a midpipe. Im only interested in the axle back and how it will sound without any other alterations to it, like adding midpipes or intake.

Sounds amazing ! Did you install the axle back first and then the midpipe? Or was that your set up from the beginning? Would like to know how the axle back sounds by itself. Is there a big difference from having a midpipe?

I have a very hard time thinking that sounds good... It sounds to me like someone has tried to make a luxury sport sedan's 6-cylinder engine sound much louder than it really should, with some headache-causing drone thrown in for bad measure.
